In plain words

The principle beyond the Vedas is divinity. God shines beyond the darkness called ignorance with the radiance of a crore suns. The ancient ṛṣis urged that such a sacred form of God be beheld.

Muslims as Allāh, good Christians as Jehovah, Vaiṣṇavas as the Lotus-eyed, Śaivas as Śambhu, ever worship Him with joy; to them all He grants long life, pleasures, fortune and other gains of riches, and protects them, the One alone, the Blessed; reflect on this!

God is one; the names are many. Today they have gone on founding a religion for each name, yet the essence of all religions is one.

The religions differ, the path is one; the cloths differ, the thread is one; the ornaments differ, the gold is one; the colours of the cattle differ, the milk is one; the living creatures differ, the life in them is one; the castes all differ, birth is one; the schools of thought differ, God is one; the colours of the flowers differ, the worship is one. Unable to understand this, men have lost their wits and, for the sake of a living, have bound themselves in many bonds. What more than this can I make known? O members of this gathering, counted among the good and virtuous!

When man recognises his own principle, this truth dawns on him. But in man faith in God is gradually wearing thin.
