True education is nothing but knowing the Dehi

A human being has a form. But the fundamental principle has no form. It is present equally in all living beings. Because man today keeps in view only bodily ties, he falls prey to many worries. Life has become ‘artificial’. As long as you do not let go of the body-idea, you will not know who you are. That ‘I’ which is in all is itself your true nature. That itself is the Fundamental Principle. You must discover it. You must not take the body itself to be ‘I’.

The body is made of the five elements; the body must fall at some time or other. The Dehi is free of all ills; if you reckon it well, for the Dehi, death and births, of the bonds that delusion fastens the marks, there are none; seen truly, this Dehi is itself the God of gods, reckoned in the mind, He is the very form of the Ātma!

Being born and dying belong only to the body, not to the Dehi. The Dehi called ‘I’ has neither death nor births.

The Eternal One, who has no death or birth, without beginning, middle or end, the beginningless, Himself not born, not dying, not slain, abides resplendent everywhere as the onlooker of all.

The Dehi is the One who shines everywhere. A beggar comes to the front of a house and says, ‘Bhavatī bhikṣāṃ dehi.’ ‘Dehi’ is a name of God. True education is nothing but knowing that Dehi.
